40 meters of uniform coverage for a consistent listening experience

In an electronic music festival, achieving high sound pressure levels is only part of the challenge. The real goal is to deliver the same listening experience from the front row to the very back of the dancefloor. This was one of the main objectives at Technoseven 2026, held in Castañeda (Cantabria, Spain), where the organisers relied on a Void Acoustics system, deployed by Conektion, to ensure uniform coverage across a 40-metre audience area.

The system was built around a main PA consisting of four Air Motion V2 loudspeakers, flown at a height of four metres to achieve wide and precise coverage across the entire audience. The installation was complemented by eight Arclite loudspeakers as front-fill support and ten Arcline 218 subwoofers providing low-frequency reinforcement.

One of the key aspects of the project was the implementation of delay lines positioned approximately 25 metres from the stage. Thanks to careful alignment between the main system and the delay speakers, the team achieved consistent frequency response and intelligibility throughout the venue, preventing the loss of definition typically associated with increasing listening distance. The system also included two Arc M12, two Nexus XL, Bias Q3 and Bias Q5 amplifiers, while system management was handled through a Roland M-5000 mixing console, allowing precise optimisation during system tuning.

The lighting production was delivered by Lux Artis, who designed a visual concept based on 15 ADJ Jolt Panel FX fixtures and 6 ADJ Jolt Bar FX fixtures. Combining both luminaires made it possible to integrate strobe, blinder and dynamic colour effects within a single system. Independent zone control allowed the creation of synchronised chases and striking visual sequences that enhanced the stage production throughout the event.

The result was a production where sound and lighting worked together to deliver a fully immersive audience experience. While the audio system maintained consistent coverage across the entire dancefloor, the lighting complemented every performance with dynamic visuals seamlessly integrated into the show.

As Pablo Colmenero, organiser of Technoseven, explains:

"Beyond the outstanding sound quality, what impressed me most was the professionalism of the team throughout every stage of the project. The final result exceeded the expectations of both the audience and the artists."

This project demonstrates how careful technical planning across both audio and lighting disciplines, combined with the expertise of Conektion, the performance of Void Acoustics and the creative capabilities of ADJ Lighting, can successfully deliver large-scale outdoor productions where consistent coverage, sonic coherence and visual impact are equally essential.
