A system adapted to a historic space

The Auditorium of the University of Deusto, located in the main building of the Bilbao campus, is one of the institution’s most representative spaces. It hosts DeustoForum conferences, graduation ceremonies, academic year openings, and other high-profile institutional events.

The architectural uniqueness and historical value of the space posed a clear challenge: integrating an audiovisual solution capable of delivering high speech intelligibility and flexible video management, while respecting the aesthetics of the venue and minimizing the visual impact of the installation.

Audio system with Ecler

To meet the project requirements, a solution based on the EclerNet Manager platform was implemented, with an MIMO88SG matrix as the core of the system. This setup allows centralized management of audio processing and signal distribution, adapting to the different types of events held in the auditorium.

Amplification is handled by eGPA2-150 and eLPA2-650 models, which power the different zones of the installation with stable and reliable performance.

For sound reproduction, the system combines two pairs of Ecler loudspeakers with different roles. ARQIS105i loudspeakers are used as reference monitors to support speakers, while LABI1-C100i column speakers, installed using LABI1-WBC wall brackets, act as the main sound system, providing uniform coverage and high speech intelligibility throughout the room.

Video over IP distribution

The video system is based on an HDMI over IP infrastructure using Ecler’s VEO series. The installation includes two VEO-XTI1C transmitters and two VEO-XRI1C receivers, responsible for managing video signal distribution between the different sources and screens in the space.

This solution provides the flexibility needed to adapt to the various configurations required for conferences, presentations, and academic events, simplifying audiovisual management during each occasion.

Installation result

The integration of Ecler audio and video solutions has provided the University of Deusto Auditorium with a modern audiovisual infrastructure, ready to meet the needs of a highly active institutional space. The result is an installation that combines sound quality, operational flexibility, and discreet integration, respecting the historic character of one of the university’s most emblematic spaces.
