The goal was to create a relaxed atmosphere throughout the venue that would resonate with its millennial audience, with particular focus on the restaurant and rooftop areas.

A solution designed to meet strict acoustic regulations

Located in the cultural heart of the city, the Kimpton Vividora Hotel enjoys a prime position in Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter. Surrounded by vibrant activity, it features a rooftop pool and bar, as well as restaurants frequented by local artists and musicians.

To support the hotel’s vision of blending luxury with Barcelona’s artistic culture, Kimpton required an audio solution capable of delivering outstanding sound quality while ensuring full compliance with local regulations.

Premium audio with dynamic control

The hotel’s previous sound system did not meet local sound level requirements and lacked the desired clarity and fidelity. After experiencing Void Acoustics solutions at a demonstration during Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) in Barcelona, Visualplanet identified Void’s innovative loudspeaker technology as the ideal solution.

Visualplanet transformed the space with Void Acoustics Cyclone 55 loudspeakers, whose precise directivity helps maintain the vibrant atmosphere of the rooftop bar without disturbing nearby residents. Meanwhile, the more compact Cyclone 4 loudspeakers, installed throughout the terrace lounge areas, provide focused, high-fidelity sound.

In the restaurant, the existing ceiling speakers were replaced with Cirrus 6.1 loudspeakers, ensuring even sound coverage at lower volume levels. As relaxed daytime conversations give way to Barcelona’s lively evening atmosphere, the Void systems allow the hotel to create the perfect ambience for every moment.

Bias D1, Q1, and Q2 amplifiers were installed to deliver exceptional sound quality throughout the venue while maintaining precise control of outdoor sound levels, achieving the ideal balance between the hotel and its surroundings.
