Compact in size yet mighty in performance, the ADJ Protégé XS is a next-generation LED-powered Beam/Spot/Wash moving head spot luminaire that delivers exceptional creative potential from a streamlined form factor. Harnessing the output of a potent 250-watt white LED engine, it produces up to 9,800 lumens of crisp, high-intensity light. Designed to replace ADJ’s popular Focus Spot 4Z and 5Z models, the Protégé XS builds upon their proven reliability with enhanced optical precision, increased output, and refined effects. This versatile fixture features a motorized zoom range of 3.8°–38°, allowing for everything from tight aerial beams, defined spot looks, to broad stage washes. Its dual color wheel system offers a wide palette of options, including 3200K CTO and 9000K CTB filters, while dual GOBO wheels (one rotating and replaceable, one static) provide a comprehensive range of textural projection possibilities. Creative effects are expanded even further through dual overlay-capable prisms – one 6-facet circular and one 6-facet linear – complemented by a heavy frost filter for smooth washes and an expressive animation wheel. Engineered for modern control environments, the Protégé XS offers both wired 5-pin DMX and wireless Aria X2 management, alongside convenient NFC configuration from its base. Its three-phase motors ensure smooth, fast, and precise movement, including 360° continuous pan rotation, with pan/tilt locks for secure transport and setup.
