The Deusto Lecture Hall, or Paraninfo of the University of Deusto in Bilbao, is one of those spaces that exude history and knowledge, enveloping anyone fortunate enough to enter.

At its entrance, reproductions of “The Fall on the Way to Calvary” by Raphael and “The Vision of Saint Bernard” by Murillo are displayed, and its ceiling is decorated with a celestial planisphere. Located above the main building’s lobby, it hosts DeustoForum lectures and other high-profile events, such as academic investiture ceremonies and opening-year sessions.

Audio solution

In a historic space like this, the challenge is to achieve a discreet audiovisual installation with clear and evenly distributed sound, along with simple video signal management to support different types of events, from lectures to ceremonies and conferences.

Based on these requirements, the projects department proposed an EclerNet Manager system, with an MIMO88SG matrix as the core of the installation. Two low-impedance amplifiers, the eGPA2-150 and eLPA2-650, power the two pairs of Ecler loudspeakers installed in this emblematic hall. Two ARQIS105i speakers act as reference monitors, supporting presenters, while two LABI1-C100i column speakers, mounted with LABI1-WBC wall brackets, serve as the main sound system.

Video solution

On the visual side, four HDMI over IP extender units were used: two VEO-XTI1C transmitters and two VEO-XRI1C receivers. These devices manage the video signal for presentations thanks to the flexibility they provide.
