Valencia's Oceanogràfic, Europe's largest aquarium, has upgraded the sound system in its dolphinarium with a new Lynx Pro Audio installation, improving coverage and speech intelligibility throughout one of the venue's most iconic spaces.
Supplied by NID, the system was designed to meet the demands of a fully outdoor environment, ensuring that both presenter announcements and background music are delivered clearly to every spectator.
The installation features a distributed system based on CXA-12 loudspeakers in their weather-resistant version, configured to provide consistent coverage across the entire grandstand while maintaining excellent speech clarity.
Thanks to their constant-curvature design, CXA-12 systems adapt naturally to the venue's geometry, delivering even sound distribution and reliable performance throughout the audience area.
The installation is powered by XT and RS Series amplifiers together with ARK digital processors, providing the DSP processing and system control required for reliable day-to-day operation.
The result is a sound system built to perform in a demanding outdoor environment, where sun exposure, humidity and marine conditions are part of everyday operation.
